FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
MAKERS OF JAWS OF LIFE ADDRESS NEW CAR TECHNOLOGY
Rescue Tool Manufacturer Addresses Fire Departments Nationwide
Shelby, North Carolina- Hurst, Jaws of Life announced today a rebate program directed toward municipalities, fire departments and rescue personnel. The promotion is aimed at collecting older tools which are currently in-service.
“We’re proud of the fact that we have so many quality tools on the market that are still in-service thirty, sometimes nearly forty years” said Bill Simmons, Hurst’s VP of Sales and Marketing. The promotion is targeted toward tools that are more then ten years old and also at classic spreaders and cutters which were favorites of fire departments in the past.
Fire and Rescue Departments can get up to $1,000 in cash rebates directly from Hurst by trading in their equipment. Spreaders eligible for the promotion include all 32-A and 32-B models. The 0-150 cutter model is also eligible for $1,000 cash. Also as part of the promotion any Hurst tool over 10 years old qualifies for $500 cash.
As part of the deal Hurst tools must be in good operating condition and classified as in-service by a department. Hurst plans to donate the tools to charity for use in lesser developed countries. “We’re going to take some valuable classic tools off of the street and turn them into goodwill worldwide” said Simmons. The promotion runs through December 1st.
“Our campaign is designed to make upgrading tool sets easier at this time, before new materials such as reinforced steel and boron become more prevalent on the road” explains Aaron Guenther, the company’s director of marketing. “Our goal is to make a difficult situation like an auto accident as safe as possible and more efficient with the tools available today. Some departments struggle with municipal budget cutbacks and old tool sets. We’re trying to reach those communities and help get newer, stronger rescue tools into service.”
